Am I exempt from NHS Dental Costs?

Saturday, December 4, 2010

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows if I should be exempt from paying for NHS dental care as I've been unable to find much information about it. I am 20 and at university full time living in a council property (not claiming any benefits). Anyone know if I am entitled to any form of exemption? Cheers only the NHS web site isn't the most helpful. Dean

No, you're not. You are only entitled to free dental care if you are: -Aged under 18 -Aged 18 and in full time education -pregnant, or have had a baby in the last twelve months -an NHS inpatient -an NHS Hospital Dental Service out patient. Unfortunately this doesn't include full time students at university.
