Should I use my new credit card to pay off care credit for the dental procedures I am having done?

Friday, December 3, 2010

My teeth have been bothering me for such a long time now and I could never afford to get a root canal or the fillings I needed. Now I was able to get discounted prices but since being umemployed recently my money is tight. I could pay cash for the procedures but then my savings for moving would be diminished or I could use the new credit card I never used it. This way, using the card I will still have the money to move. What should I do? I go in on Monday to have the flipper placed in as well as the root canal. Any good advice would help. Btw, I signed up for care credit so they took care of things but those bills will still be coming up next month--I wanted to just pay it all off at one time with the credit or cash in my checking account. I really am tight on money/never spend a lot of money, so any good advice would help. Thanks!

It would be good to do both. Use some of your savings to cut down on your card usage percentile...you want to keep it below 25% of the card limit. Charge the remainder and be diligent in repaying the rest.
