Why is it that every dentist I meet have perfect teeth?

I mean sure it establishes and represents a great example of how Dentist's teeth should be because you want a dentist that takes care of themselves. But, damnnnnnn, their teeth are like perfect Is there some teeth surgery procedure they undergo during dental school? Was their teeth destined to be perfect so they can become dentists? There has to be a dentist that has a cavity or some crooked teeth.

As Dentists, we try to set a good example to our patients. Plus we are always aware that we have to go get our teeth cleaned and go for a check-up every six months. There are Dentists that have cavities and crooked teeth. You just wouldn't know about the cavities because you can't see it and the crooked teeth are fixed. I think where I'm from, Dentists give discounts and / or free treatment to fellow Dentists, so that is a big help in keeping our smiles as nice as possible. It would be a turn off to a patient if your Dentist has bad breath and huge cavities in his front teeth. You would think twice about his or her advice on proper dental care when he can't take care of his own teeth. It would be like going to an overweight gym instructer telling you to do the following exercises and eating specific food to be fit.
