I have only Medicare A&B.To get extracted a tooth $475 is it a legitimate cost?I don't know.?

Recently I paid $1500 for the Root canal and 900 for the cap..........to me it looks excessive.Am I right?I am new in America for the dental care at 76.I wish to be enlightened.

The root canal and crown fees seem about right. As for the extraction, it seems high, but I don't know if it is a surgical extraction with sedation or a simple extraction or where you are located. Simple, single extractions where I am are around $170 each. (in California where everything is more expensive) Surgical extractions cost more and if you have sedation that alone runs about $250-$300.
