Medicaid Question... can someone help me understand this?

I am in NY state and am applying for Medicaid.. anyway, it says on the website: that it provides: "treatment and preventive health and dental care (doctors and dentists)" I am basically just curious.. does that mean that it would cover things like..checkups? Cavity filling? Things like that? Or is it just in case of emergency.. Sorry if it's a ridiculous question, but the office is closed now and my brain is just.. not working properly tonight.

they will cover more than emergency's. you might have co-pays but i am not sure. they should pay for almost anything
