I have a rescued mare that had her teeth floated and canine and wolf teeth removed (Unusual to have these canines as a mare?). After giving me trouble about bridling I wanted her teeth checked again.(she was checked according to last owner and floated less than 12 mos ago.) I couldn't be there and had the barn manager take care of it. I have never had a horse with dental issues or that had teeth removed & am not too up to date on equine dentistry.

After floating teeth, we always give the horses the next day off if it is just a routine floating. If they have any teeth removed, we wait more like a week to put a bit in. You should check with the vet who did the floating. After she heals up, her mouth should be a LOT better. :)
