Why is it that, despite all the taxes and crap we pay, we still get squat from the government (referring to Canada and Canadians)? Like our roads suck, we have like 2 cops in this whole town, no vision care, no dental care, no prescription drugs, crappy schools. Where is all our taxes going to?

Great question - you guys unfortunately pay a boatload of taxes! That's what happens when taxes are so common and Gov't "services" such as nationalized healthcare become the norm - the people suffer! Sorry!
