the best thing is to join a program in college that specializes in conservation. there are a lot of university's that have programs, Cornell, UNH, a lot in california. jobs include hazardous waste cleanup, like after an oil spill, wildlife protection, preserving forest areas, wetlands, there are so many areas you can focus on, you just have to know what you are interested in.
