I missed my dental appointment and they sent me a letter stating that I cannot book appt's for 6 months and my future appt's has been cancled. They stated that enclosed is a copy of there policy and I contract that I signed, which I didn't and they didn't send the "contract" is this illegal.
--------------------
I've dismissed patients from my practice before. A dentist may not refuse to work on patient when treatment, such as a crown, has been done. The dentist is obligated to see any patient where he/she has altered, irreversibly, a tooth, whether or not it gets paid for. As far as cleanings go, if you are dismissed, they should recommend or other resource to help you find a new dentist. (usually the local dental society). Contract or not, a dentist can fire you for missing appointments, or any number of reasons. Just get a new dentist
