Dental Care for clients with Mumps?

I'm just wondering what the treatment would be for clients suffering from mumps. Would we send them home if they've already been diagnosed? If they haven't been diagnosed then would we refer them to their doctor?

I doubt anyone with mumps would even consider having dental treatment... and they'd cancel their appointment. Are you sure you're just not seeing patients with acute swelling and they need their dental appointment? (?)
