HAPPY MONDAY!
I'm linking this post to Making Your Home Sing Monday, and this week's theme is "learning the value of little minutes." Well I’m really trying to manage my time better and especially not waste it all on the Internet. My home needs some love today since I didn’t do ANYTHING to help it over Halloween weekend. So to make the most of my time and not get burned out with cleaning, I set a timer. 15 minutes of cleaning and 10 (or maybe 15) minutes of doing what I want to do. I begin with a list of 15-minute tasks such as folding laundry, cleaning off the dining table, loading and unloading the dishwasher, etc. The 10 minute breaks are spent on what I actually WANT to do instead of have to do, like typing this post. I only have 4 minutes left! Looks like I’ll have to come back during my next break.

My goal for today is to declutter. Stacks of folded clothes haven’t been put up yet, empty glasses have been forgotten in the living room, dirty clothes have been left on bedroom floors because the clothes hamper is overflowing, mail is stacked precariously on a table, and there’s even a bag of groceries that I missed putting away. And that’s in the cleanest corners of the rooms. (*blushes embarrassingly*)

And since it’s Monday, here’s the Menu Plan for the week – always with room for change.

Breakfast
1. Pomegranate Muffins similar to this recipe but without chocolate chips
2. Veggie Scramble or frittata
3. Cinnamon bagels with honey butter & sliced fruit
4. Cereal and fruit
5. Smoothie
6-7. Repeat whichever ones I prefer

Lunch – Last week I mentioned to check back about how I added more salads to my menu. The plan was to vary up the ingredients enough to not get tired of them, but I was tired of salads before I ever began mixing them up. I need a break from salads for a little while…
1. Leftovers
2. Sandwiches
I certainly don’t put much effort into lunch, do I?

Dinner
1-3 Lots of leftover chicken. There's Jamaican Jerk, Zesty White Wine, and Garlic & Black Pepper – marinated and batch-cooked Sunday night. Sides may be rice, quinoa, millet, baked apples, broccoli, stir-fried veggies, potatoes with carrots, and/or spaghetti squash. I don’t yet know what to do with spaghetti squash, but I’m going to figure it out. Any suggestions?
4. Spaghetti Squash, Broccoli, & Carrots tossed with chunks of White Wine Chicken, baked apple slices, and garlic cheese toast. It was a success! I'm up for cooking with spaghetti squash again.
5. Spaghetti & salad
6. Going out hopefully!
7. Dinner at a friend's
