why is everyone asking for "universal health care" but not dental care?

a tooth abscess or oral cancer could kill you and dental pain is excruciating, but many medical problems like zits or toe fungus are neither. why is everyone including Canadians against doctors making profit, but it's okay if dentists do it? isn't this a double standard against the medical profession?

I do not support universal health or dental care. People complain about the cost of dentistry, but it's a service, just like anything else. Medicare pays dentists pennies on the dollar, who wants to go to work for that? If someone chooses not to go to the dentist for something, that's their choice, don't blame the dentist. I like to get paid when I go to work, why shouldn't they?
