are you entitled to free dental care on working tax credits?

Wednesday, November 24, 2010

when you are on child tax credits and working tax credits to top up a low income when you are working full time, do you still get the help you would if you were on income support such as help towards dental costs, the sure start maternity grant and healthy start vouchers or is that only if you are on income support? i heard that on working tax credits you can get help with dentists costs but wanteed to know from those who are on the benefits cos my friend needs to go on them (read my other question for the situation) and wondered if they were able to have aditional help

Depends on your income, if you earn up to £15276 then you get free everything! The working tax credit award notice should show the income they have based the assessment on, if this is less than the above amount they should be good to go. They need a HC1 form.
