Has anyone had extensive dental care in Mexico? Good Results?

Sunday, November 7, 2010

My 68 yr old father needs implants, bridges, partial dentures, etc. A dentist here quoted him $27,000. He is in mediocre health, on lots of heart mets, etc. So I worry about after care. He is on a lot of blood thinners, etc. Does anyone have any good recommendations? Are their any accreditation's that mexican dentists have? Like the ADA here? etc. I want to start researching this for him but have no clue where to start.

My mom had her dentures done in Mexico. We live in TX, so she just started searching for dentists over the border. The dentures were beautiful - better than the ones she had done here. She was a heart patient and the took really good care of her and she said all of the staff was so sweet to her. She booked a hotel on this side of the border and dentists office sent a van across to pick her up for her appointment and then take her back afterwards. Her dentures were ready in less than two days and I think she got them for about $2,000. I'd just start searching for dentists across the border based on where you live and then call them. They speak english, so even if you don't speak spanish you'll be able to get all of the info. They will also mail and email you anything you want.
