Is there low/no cost dental care in Houston, TX? I have a tooth abcess, no money, and no dental insurance.?

I had a root canal last year which is now abcessed. I'm running fever and in a lot of pain.

I would contact the dentist that did the first procedure. Tell him your situation and that he did the original work. Ask if you can set up a payment program with him to get the abscess taken care of. You can die from an abscessed tooth. If he is unwilling to help, then ask where you can go to get help. They should know which agency to send you to. But, if the dentist is worth anything at all, he will help you out. At least to get you stabilized. Good Luck!
