Family going homeless in ny. please help?

OK, me and my wife. 2 kids, boy and girl, and my wife is pregnant. i live in my parent apt but its been 9 months and its getting stressful. my wife just got pregnant. maybe 2 months. this is our last chance to have a child due to other problems.so we have to keep it. i am the only one working. i sold everything i have to make ends meet. we are getting food stamp in 2 weekd and the kids are getting wic. i pay my child support of 100.00 every week. i pay medical dental and eye care for all my 3 kids myself and wife. after all that my chack comes out to about 730 every 2 weeks. i cant afford rent cause a 2 bedroom is 1200 or more in decent neighborhoods. so now my family want me out. they dont know my wife is pregnant, they will get pissed off. my friends tell me go to homeless shelter, i want to know how fast can they help us and is it safe for my kids.if their is any info you can give us or help us out please let me know..thank you and have a nice day..

have you considered moving to a cheaper neighborhood, just for a while? and try to get financial help from the government, thats why you pay taxes :)
