Both of my parents are doctors and lots of family members are. I want to do *something* in healthcare as well (I'm good at it). I was going to go overseas to the same college my parents went to however I thought I watned to do dentistry instead and stayed in the USA. Now that I shadowed a dentist for 4 hrs the other day, not sure if I want to get into that, anesthiology looks pretty cool. Should I go for the MD degree (same amt of time it would take me to finish undergrad & dental) & come back to the USA and do a residency instead?? That would give me more options than dentistry right?

You would have far more options with your MD. You can go into any specialty you want. Dentistry is fairly limited.
