Need suggestions for Junior schedule?

Saturday, March 5, 2011

I have about a week to submit my high school junior class outline, but I need some advice in which classes I will take...I have 8 period slots to fill out, with an optional before/after school class as well Combined to form 2 periods- Required class Medical Laboratory I Dental Assisting Patient Care Science Choice Classes: AP English Literature- 3 Pre-AP Physics- 4 Pre-AP Precalc- 5 AP Chemistry- 6 These are the classes I'm uncertain about: -I can take AP Stats(optional class) either junior or senior year. Will it be better for me to take it with Pre- Calc or Calc? - I must take a history class. I have a choice of AP US History or regular(class 7). I am taking AP World History and its not too bad, but I haven't heard good things with APUSH. Which should I take? -I have a choice of these electives. AP Biology/AP Psychology/ AP Spanish (class 8). I heard AP Spanish is insanely difficult, AP Bio is a lot of work, and AP Psychology is easy. But I want my college transcript for junior year to look good. Which should I take? Once again: AP US vs Magnet US AP Bio vs AP Spanish vs AP Psychology AP Stats with Pre-calculus vs AP Stats with Calculus Thanks for your help [:

AP US vs Magnet US: I'd go with AP US. It was the first AP class I ever took and I managed to do pretty well in it despite the fact that I dislike history. If you're doing well in AP World, you'll probably be fine in APUSH. AP Bio vs AP Spanish vs AP Psychology: Depends on how many years of Spanish you've already taken. Most colleges recommend that you take 3 years of a world language. If you haven't had 3 years yet, then I suggest you do AP Spanish. If you already have 3 years of Spanish, then you should take whatever you find the most interesting. AP Stats with Pre-calculus vs AP Stats with Calculus: I've heard that AP Stats is totally different from calc and pre-calc, so you should take it whenever it best fits into your schedule. It doesn't really matter when.
