I'm working my first "real" job, and have been for 2.5 years. That is, not an internship or summer job or tiny little web development company that has 4 employees. So basically, I don't really know if what I get by way of benefits is "good". In addition to salary, I get: * 3 weeks paid vacation (option to purchase an extra week) * 10 sick/personal days * 10 holidays * 12 weeks per birth or adoption for paternity leave * 5 days per summons for Jury Duty * 5 days per death for bereavement leave * 100% match up to first 5% of my pay I put into 401(k) (vested immediately) * 2% salary into pension, vested after 5 years * Aproximately 75% of my health care and medical/dental/vision insurrance * 1/3 of my monthly parking fee at a city-owned garage * occasional (not guaranteed) "Spirit Points" that can be used to purchase merchandise, used as a reward system. * tuition reimbursement up to $5,250 per year There would be more benefits if I was married or had kids too...

Okay... this is interesting... In addition to salary, I get: * I get 208 hours paid vacation (4 weeks) * 156 hours of sick/personal time (19.5 days) * 9 holidays and weekends off * No weeks per birth or adoption for paternity leave (this is sick leave) * Unlimited time for Jury Duty (with pay) * No time per death for bereavement leave (this is annual leave--vacation leave) * 100% match up to first 5% of my pay I put into 401(k) (vested immediately--I do 7% based on my TurboTax analysis gives me the best tax break) * Pension(retirement) and Social Security * Blue Cross and Blue Shield ($145.14) health care and Delta Dental insurance ($51.35) every two weeks * $115 communting subsidy for more than 50 miles (I don't use this) * Employee store with discounted items and discounts on amusement part tickets, etc. * No tuition reimbusement but some things can be negotiated at full payment if strictly job related.
