What kind of lawyer would I need/do I have a case?

Thursday, March 10, 2011

First let me say I am not one of those people who go around suing everyone for everything. I have had a number of problems that would have had legitimate cases (including sexual harassment by a former employer and later food tampering by the same man. (found around 100 pubes looking hairs in my food) But tonight was to much. I am back from college for spring break and my parents went out to eat, I asked them to bring me some takeout. They get home I start eating and i hear a huge crunch and I taste blood. I spit out what was in my mouth and see shards of glass. I then go wash my mouth out and get the bleeding to stop (wasn't to bad) but my filling I got yesterday is chipped. My mom called the restaurant and they said they were sorry and a glass jar broke and we are entitled to a free meal next time. I had swallowed abit before the crunch and my stomach is in a lot of pain and will probably have to go to the hospital if I don't start feeling better. After the initial crunch i looked through my food and found several large shards of glass (over an inch and a half long) and many smaller ones. Do I have any sort of case? What kind of lawyer would I need? I am not trying to sue these people for all they are worth or get a huge payday I just want to make sure my dental work will be taken care of and if I have any internal problems those aswell. I am a poor college kid having problems finding a job and even with my insurance my dental bills are horrible. Please help.
