why is it like this?

i have not been back to india for 8 years now...my cousins have just left from their visit....and are thier way back to india....i really miss them...really miss all my other fam in india...i really want to go...but cannot of my circumstances...school...work...fam business...my parents are letting me go by myself...but they say that they want me to refine my looks...everything is fyne...except my skin....they just want it to be perfect.....why would anyone care about my skin when i go back to india...ppl really do praise me...and no i am not ugly ...or overweight....just that my real skin colour is fair...but it is tanned....so my parents just want my skin to look fair.....everyone is wanting to meet me so do i...the reason why i cant go is also that i want to finish my dental treatment....will ppl really care about the colour of my skin and the way my teeth look....i just want to be able to smile and feel ...confident...and that will only be after my braces...so why is it
