What should you do when you can't afford to go to the dentist and you have an absess?

Saturday, February 5, 2011

I am a 27 year old female who has one semester left in college before getting my B.S. in Zoology. Unfortuantely university doesn't provide dental care and I have had an absess for 3 years now. I have developed chronic headaches, fatigue, dizziness, loss of appetite and neck pain, and blurry vision for a few months now. I guess I am going to die because no one will help. I have faith in God that He wouldn't want me to die and if there is anyone out there who cares enough to even say a prayer for me please do, because I don't have a family that cares to help me with prayer or the expense. So please pray that if I die my son will be close to God always and not feel alone like I do right now.

you sound like a person of faith. I'm assuming youprobably go to church. Ask your pastor if he knows any dentists that will see you for reduced fees. I myself see patients referred by religious organizations. If you're a studnet, you should have loans, and I spent 8 years living on them, an i know it's tight, but just go to a dentist! it'll be like 20 for an xray, 40 for an exam, and worse comes to worse, 150 or so for extraction. You've been suffering for three years and you couldn't have saved up 200 bucks? I'm sorry; i shouldn't question you at this point; yo'ure in pain etc, but please find help. at least get on antibiotics (penicillin or amox 500, one tab four times a day for a week at least...) and advil. but you have to be seen. i'll say a prayer, but you'll need a dentist's as well as divine intervention. also, if you have a dental school at or near your university, their fees are cheaper. email me if there's anything else i can do.
