I am giving serious thought towards enlisting in the coast guard. My teeth aren't that good. I know they provide dental care; would they start dental care before or after basic training/more advanced training?

They will probably do an evaluation during training, but anything that is not an emergency will probably be left until you get to a duty station where you will be for a while.
