EXPIRED: Eat Cleaner Kit for $15 ($30 value)

Wednesday, February 2, 2011

Mamapedia is quickly becoming my favorite daily deal site! The current featured deal is an Eat Cleaner pack that includes Wash + Dryer Kit, Biodegradable Wipes, Jumbo Reusable Fresh Produce Bag, and Martha Stewart Magazine Subscription. According to the site, Eat Cleaner "safely cleans fruits and veggies with all natural ingredients while extending shelf life and makes it easy to remove harmful germs, pesticides and wax without leaving a film or soapy residue." The wipes provide convenient on-the-go food cleaning.

Personally, I feel like I need to thoroughly clean produce before I eat it, and water just doesn't seem good enough. Aside from the wax and pesticides, do you ever think about how many germ-covered hands touch your produce before you take a bite of it? The stocker, many other customers (and their runny-nosed kids), and the cashier. How many of those sneezed or coughed into their hands before touching your fruits and veggies? And are coming to the grocery store before they're fully well from the flu or strep throat? I sound like a complete germaphobe, don't I? But you have to admit it still sounds pretty gross. I've honestly never used Eat Cleaner products, but I'd love to give them a try.

It's a $30 value that you can buy for $15. The fine print says "Not valid towards taxes or shipping. Limit (3) vouchers per person, limit (1) per transaction. Expires August 5, 2011." The deal will be available for 3 days.

AND, you can get 4% cashback by going through Ebates. If you're new to Ebates, it's a cashback site where you receive a small percentage back by purchasing from a wide range of stores. Payments are made every three months once you have at least $5.01 in your account.
