So here's the story. A bit over 36 hours ago my wisdom teeth (all of them) were removed at an event in Iowa which had free dental care for anyone who needed it. Charitable people there, they were. My blood clots formed fine, no the holes were not stitched. All four teeth were just sort of pushed out, no cutting involved. I'm being really careful to not get dry socket. They put me on Amoxicillin to prevent infection. No, there is not a follow-up appointment, this was free. The food I've been eating has been creamy soups with few if any chunks, (tomato soup, butternut squash soup, and one bowl of potato soup), frozen yogurt, and mashed potatoes. My concern is that I can see little white bits on the clot holes. My boyfriend's sister in law, a dental hygienist, said it's best to leave it alone and let it take care of itself so I don't disturb the clots. Yes, I've been doing salt water rinses. Still, worried about the little white bits in there. Should I be? Thanks!

Should I not worry about food on my blood clots? (wisdom teeth extraction)?
