Suggestions for brushing routine?

Tuesday, December 28, 2010

I just had 2 cavities drilled, they were painless but I don't want to get any more, EVER! Here is my dental care routine, please give me some suggestions to ensure I don't get any more cavities? -Brush for a minute in the morning & evening -floss -use listerine total care mouthwash for 1 minute -retainers Also how often should I brush/clean my retainers? Is soaking them in mouthwash OK or should I physically brush them?

I think you should brush for two minutes. That's how long I brush for and my teeth are really white:) For the retainer thing, you should brush them AND soak them in mouthwash. That will be double the clean, and SOOO much better for your mouth. Also, floss at night, not in the morning. In the morning, you have nothing in your teeth but you do at night. Do all of this before bed. Also, make sure after you floss and brush, then do the mouthwash because it protects everything that you just did to make your teeth white. Lastly, cut back on soda if you are a big soda drinker. It makes your teeth yellow. Oh, and go see the dentist to get your teeth cleaned every 6 months.
