Why are health care and dental care mentioned separately?

I often see health and dental care mentioned separately (e.g. the military offers health and dental care), but isn't dental care part of health care?

well i know what you mean.. and i do have the answer for it.. but im not really good at explaining things.. so here it goes. health care is for doctors nurses etc. while dental care is specially for the teeth. regular doctors dont really study that while dentist only study teeth they dont really know anything about doing the kind of checkups that say your family doctor does. so technically speaking its like theres two schools.. either be in the "health care school" were you can become a nurse doctor surgean etc. or go to dentist school.. where you only learn about teeth... jaws etc.. haha i know this is so confusing but my mind is not exactly in thinking mode. or not very articulate. but i hope this helps give you an idea
