With my NHS maternity exemption card can i get my teeth cleaned at the NHS dentist free?

I know you can get reduced prices for glasses and contacts and free prescriptions and dental care. But the only thing that needs doing to my teeth is maybe a little brightening. Do they do that with the card or will they still charge or maybe a reduced rate?

Are you sure about the glasses??? I wear glasses and when I had it (Nov06-Aug07) - It didnt cover optical care. The NHS Tax Credit exemption certificate covers optical care. Only prescriptions, medical equipment and dental treatment. Sice dental hygene is not treatment, I doubt it would cover it. Its worth a try calling your Hygenist though and asking.
