I migrated to Canada from a third world country, and back home, no one really stressed on the importance of dental care, and our dental care system wasn't as effective as Canada. And i have a small mouth, resulting in crowding of my teeth, crooked teeth and a snaggletooth. I recently went to a dentist and found out that my poor dental hygiene and overcrowded teeth resulted in A LOT of cavities =( I floss and brush my teeth everyday now. I now know how to properly take care of my teeth, but I want to get those cavities filled. HOwever, being a newcomer to Canada, my family aren't very stable, and we can't afford to get my cavities filled. =( The insurance doesn't cover it. I also want to get braces to fix my crooked teeth, but as I said, i can't afford expensive dental care. What am I supposed to do ? I don't like having rotten, cavity-filled crooked teeth. Help :( It really affects my self-esteem, and appearance.

You can start by saving up for cavities. Do one at a time if you have to. You can have the front ones filled with porcelain which is white, can't even tell you have fillings. The rest with regular grey stuff. Then get braces, not sure about canada but in usa it's about 1500 for the entire treatment and they work with you, payment plans. About 100-150 a month. It's worth getting into debt, if it means this much to you especially since your smile is going to last a lifetime. Good luck!
