What will the REAL cost of "public" health care be?

45 MILLION people on Medicare costs the government almost $500 BILLION per year. And, look below at the things Medicare does NOT cover. Total Medicare Spending = 453.9 BILLION (Fiscal Year 2008) SOURCE: Congressional Budget Office. http://www.cbo.gov/ftpdocs/102xx/doc1029… SOME THINGS MEDICARE DOES NOT COVER: NO routine PREVENTATIVE CARE, including physical exams NO DENTAL CARE. Medicare does not cover routine dental care or most dental procedures such as cleanings, fillings, tooth extractions or dentures. NO eye exams and eyeglasses NO hearing aids Copays - 20-50% of all charges, AFTER you pay a deductible Hospitalization Deductible = $1000+ SOURCE: EVERYWHERE

This is easy: cost will be long wait lines and huge tax increases. I am dual citizen (also Canadian) and I have actually USED universal health care. It works when you are bleeding, but other than that it BLOWS. The average wait time for an MRI in Vancouver BC is 7-9 months. By then its chronic. Get ready for a disaster. HERE IS SOME MATH FOR LIBERALS: Take every doctor we have now....add 40 million more patients....add ZERO more doctors....what the hell do you think will happen? CATASTROPHE
