Jobs similar to dental hygienist?

I often hear how a dental hygienist is the ideal job for people who want to work in health care, want to make a good amount of money per hour and want a flexible schedule with good benefits. Unfortunately for me, the idea of cleaning people's teeth is too disgusting and disturbing for me. Are there any jobs or careers that are similar to dental hygiene with similar benefits, require a similar level of education and similar flexibility?

There are no benefits at most dental offices, for hygienists so it isnt a good job for you then. Dental assistants (who assist dentists) usually make less money than a hygienist but get benefits. The closest thing to hygiene, without the blood and teeth, is radiology tech. You train for 2 years (just like hygiene program) to take body xrays (called radiographs). It is just as difficult to get into the program as hygiene and it is just as challenging when in the program. If you cant handle blood then you can become: radiology tech Medical assistant to name a few.
