Hi was randomly punched in the face with others on bonfire night the police are involved and the case is going to court. Basically now I'm missing a front tooth and I'm wanting to fix it ASAP the hospital said see a dentists i went to an emergency one last night they just put sealant on it which has came off, the problem is i have no dentist and tried getting onto a NHS one there is a long wait, if i use a private dentist will i still be able to claim the costs back as i am a student and how long would i expect to wait for my tooth to be fixed, the emergency dentists said it would be an easy fix. I am very desperate to get this fixed ASAP what is my best options i am in UK-Leeds. And roughly what are the costs?

You will only be able to use your HC2 with a NHS dentist. If you go to a private dentist you will be liable for all your costs. The NHS are duty bound to find a NHS dentist and in your area there should somewhere be a dental access centre during the week for advice. Find a good NHS dentist and you should be fine. Many have time set aside at the beginning of the week for emergencies so just ring around and ask. Make sure you take some photographs as you may have a case. Perhaps your parents or someone can help you with the private costs for good cosmetic dentistry and then you can make a claim against the person concerned for the costs. The dentist you see will provide (at a cost) the documentation for your solicitor to claim.
