Where do people get the idea that getting medical care is a right?

Is dental & optical care a right too? You cant live if you don't eat so is food a right as well? Is shelter a right? Where do people get the idea that society owes them anything? What do they teach in school any more socialism?

We already have a lot of socialist policies that people take for granted. Who says the fire dept has to come put out the fire on your house. Maybe hospitals should only allow rich people in them. Why should the police come when you call them; maybe they should only go to a rich mans house when he calls. The roads should only be for rich people, why do you drive on them? Is it your right? This state says I can't drive a car unless I have insurance....isn't it my right to decide? I have to pay higher hospital bills because of those without insurance. I say we ask for a credit card first and kick em out if they cant afford it...What do you think?
