what all will i need to take care of my dental braces?

get prepared for a long long answer!! well anyways, i just got braces on thursday and i'll show you how i take care o' mine. first of all, you should've gotten a little ortho kit. if you didn't then the materials you'll need are floss brushes, special toothbrush(meant for braces), mouthwash, and/or special floss. ok well there is a special way to floss but i'm not allowed to do that or gaps will be in between my teeth. so here's how i do. i use the floss brush and pick the food in between the wire and tooth. don't go in between the actual teeth though! then you brush your teeth for at least! 2 minutes (which i don't think thats enough i do mine for like 4 or 5 min lol)anywho, just brush normal but not hard. go sideways not up and down or you'll just ruin the wire. then you use mouthwash! easy as that. but use the mouthwash that will protect against cavities. i hope i helped. but you should get like a dental mirror, and stick it in your mouth and look for little food particles that might be stuck in there. then use the floss brush and brush it"! or get a waterpik, which i never tried before but heard it's great. it's like a floss except made out of water idk? lol. ok well i hope that you or me don't have any cavities because of not flossing. i think that mouthwahs and brushing and floss brush are the solution. do all of that only at night. in the morning just brush and mouthwash. told you this was long, i know i helped!
