I have pain a week after after wisdom tooth extraction.?

I got one wisdom tooth extracted from my lower left jaw, it was partially impacted. The pain feels like it is where the stitches are in my cheek. My cheek is swollen where the stitches are. I have'nt got the stitches out yet because i'm on vacaction and my dentist said i could wait until this Tuesday which will be almost 2 weeks. But now the pain is pretty bad and I want to go the hospital but I'm not sure if they can take care of dental problems. What do you think is wrong and what should I do, should I go to a surgeon, regular dentist or a hospital. Thanks

Go to the guy who did the extraction (call before you go). You could have a dry socket, infection, etc.
