Joining Air Force question?

I am currently working as a dental assistant and I'm thinking of joining the Air Force. I'm newly separated from my husband and I want to be able to take care of myself. I'm 29 and was wondering what the cut off age is for joining. Also, with my experience as an assitant, would I be able to make rank quicker if I stayed in that MOS?

When I went through basic there was a person who was 37 who was in my flight. If you have college experience then yes you can probably get rank faster, but without college, probably not. They aren't called MOS's in the Air Force, they are called AFSC (Air Force Specialty Code).
